Day 5 -Club Lounge Training [Reservation dpt aint free for me](Duration: 9am-5.30pm)


back to club. i forgot what i learnt. haha. it's like one week ago! err...i did the normal stuffs i guess. interacting with guests, collect food, did set up, etc. nothing much. just normal routine. =) and i tink more pple came and taught me stuffs. so i rem it was a good day!


Day 6 -OFF DAY (04th june, Sat)


Day 7 & Day 8 -Guest Relation Officer (GRO) Training (Duration: 12pm-8pm)


i like this department! i learnt plenty and plenty of stuffs. quite an experience i would say. i get to go and check the guest rooms before their arrival (ECI guests), place the preferred newspaper in their rooms, escort guests to their rooms, do in-room check-in, etc. i was also at the lobby the whole time to greet guests/fond farewell. GRO interacts with Front Desk, Concierge, Biz Centre, etc. cuz Guests go to the GRO desk like the reception desk. haha. cuz it's the first desk to be spotted in the Lobby. i had great fun there! got to work with cheryl and edelina too.


Day 9 & Day 10 -Concierge Training (12pm-8pm) & (10am-6pm)


This department is the funniest! the people there are really nice to work with. at first, they were all hostile towards me cuz it was the peak period at the concierge desk. all the follow-ups of work, checking air tickets for guests who missed their flights, etc. and only 2 persons were at the desk. so i stood there, feeling redundant. so the boss asked me to go for an early break. mind you, i reached at 11.30pm, i went for break at 12.30pm. wth. so i was kinda upset. but after break, i went back. it was the beginning of all the FUN!!! i get to make dinner reservations for guests, book limousines for their arrival and departures. (i called the limousine company a zillion times until their operator recognised my voice.) till now, im still not familiar with booking of air tickets for guests who missed their flights. i'm also not familiar with the singapore map! and i cant make recommendations when guest comes to me and needs me to recommed an asian cuisine restaurant which has a quiet ambience. hello! i have NO IDEA. haha.


joked alot with redzuan and bernard. haha. played guessing games with bernard. he's old. haha. but he looks 18. baby-faced. i enjoy the jazz songs from chihuly lounge. the lady can even jazz "where is the love?". haha. it was a definitely a pleasure to be with them. =)


Day 11 -Business Centre Training (3pm-11pm)


the most relaxing department. RON is a lucky guy. haha. i did alot of faxes. send, receive and deliver. super office job. Biz centre is where guests need to use the computer/internet, or when they nid to photocopy/fax. the charges in all the hotels are ridiculous. for eg. 15mins internet access-S$7.88. hahaha. people still pay. maybe for urgent business. quite eerie to deliver faxes alone at night. yikes. walk along the corridor, so quiet. alamak. goosebumps!


Btw, i got my own MARLOCK key!!! and password to fidelio! yay! happy day! thanks ron for letting me go exactly at 11pm. =) it's a rare chance to be able to go home on time. haha. im serious. back to club and i will be slogging like mad. i wont expect myself to finish exactly at 11pm. i will be expecting myself to finish at least half an hr later. btw, i will be doing SHIT SHIFT again. sat and sun 3pm-11pm. damn. and our hotel will be full house on 3 days. i forgot which day.


going for driving lesson today. sigh. ive got no time to even learn. shit. and my instructor bought a new car.
